Convenience is a plus

I love the idea of a magazine on my phone. I never have time to read a magazine, so I never buy them. But with the convenience of having them on my phone means I can read it whenever I want- at the gym, waiting at the doctors office, etc. And I dont have some raggedy old magazine waiting to be read sitting around my house or in my car for weeks. Love this app! Btw, of course the magazine is not free...I got a glimpse of whats wrong with our society when I read all the reviews of this app.

Too expensive

Offer a lightweight edition!

Wow guys.

OF COURSE, the magazines are not free. What do you think? -.- anyhow, I love this magazine. So nice to have it on my phone. I love the magazine in general. This is an amazing app. Of course the magazine is not free. DUH!

Not free

Dont buy this unless you wanna shelling 6 bucks for the issue

False advertising

You can download it for free but you cant read a single page without 6 dollars

Pricey subscription. Cant read anything for free unless you pay per edition. What a scam. Dl PULSE app instead.

Mrs.

Total scam. Says gree then when you down load it asks you to pay for a subscription or for each issue . And its pricey! Dont waste your time false and misleading!!!

Total waste!

Free app? Not exactly! Once installed you are asked to pay $5.99 and up to read anything. Its a scam. The library has back issues to read for free. I deleted this within minutes! Dont waste your time.

This is crap! What were they thinking? 5.99$ for a magazine I cant even physically hold. Ummm...... No. Maybe if it was 0.25 cents.

Some of us understand

Some of us understand having to pay for something we want. We get that. The issue here is that it is advertised as FREE. which it is not. So yes, it is misleading.

Bait and Switch

Newsstand is nothing more than a bait and switch tactic. If you are going to advertise something as FREE, then it should be FREE Duh! Now I have a useless folder on my home screen that I will never use and cant delete. Good going Apple...

Whats the free portion?

I wish apple store would review false statements as well, before an app is published. There is nothing free here. Totally misleading.

Not free!!

If it says free beside it...duh, it should be free!!

I dont want the newsstand app.

Since I cant review the app, Ill just give all the content 1 star!!! Let me hide the app in a folder at least!

False advertising

This should be illegal! Nothing about this is free and I have a completely useless folder on my screen that i will NEVER use. Whoever thought of this was way off the marker!!! Get it fixed!!!!!! I didnt even want to give this 1 star but apparently you cant get away with giving it a zero score.

Not free

They say its free but when you install the app it shows magazines you can purchase. This newsstand app is so stupid!

Remove this app!!!

Nothing about this is free and I cant remove this off of my screen please Apple make it go away or actually make it "Free" since you state it is but truly is not at all!!!!

People want something for nothing

Im tired of all the negative ratings people are giving the magazines because the apps are free & the magazines arent. Are you kidding me? Would you rather PAY for the app AND for the magazines? The app is free so you can browse to see if its something you might like & you have the option to buy by the issue or to buy a subscription if its something you will read a lot. Its the same thing as going to an actual news stand...would you expect to walk away with the magazine & not pay? Nobody is pulling a fast one, it states right in the app description what the rates are, apparently people dont read before downloading. I do wish there were a better selection in the app store like Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, People, etc...hopefully in time more titles will pop up. [Maybe they will if people stop leaving bad reviews that are absolute rubbish.]

Why not make the App delete-able

It doesnt bother me that the magazines arent free. They have to pay for content somehow. But what is deeply WRONG is the lack of power to delete the APP once you find out whats going on with the sneaky promotional technique. Not only are you side swiped dishonestly but to add insult to the disappointment you have to be annoyed by it for as long as you phone lasts. This practice is unfair, unethical and just plan malpractice. I think someone needs to file a class action suit and in this age of privacy protectionism I bet they would win!
